EDI Server

Sybase EDI Server is a suite of EDI tools that provide two broad capabilities: EDI Message Transformation and EDI Message Handling. EDI Message Transformation enables companies to process the internals of an EDI message or file, typically by mapping between EDI formats and application or database formats. EDI Message Handling involves the externals of an EDI message or file, typically by transmitting or receiving the message, queuing up the message for processing and archiving or restoring the message.

EDI Server is a proven product that is both robust and high performing. It supports batch and interactive data streams and can be configured to satisfy widely different customer requirements. It includes the following components:

• ECMAP: The map development workbench for creating maps.
• ECRTP: The map execution engine for executing the maps created using ECMAP.
• EC Gateway: The script development workbench and script execution engine message handling.
• ECMAP Debugger: A new, extra-cost component that increases the productivity of mapping engineers and serves as a learning tool for new mapping engineers.
